Know More About Escape The Fate
With all the emergence of new hardcore and punk bands, Escape the Fate is among the top. Their popularity have just been steadily increasing with the release of their three popular albums. More and more fans have been discovering their unique and yet classic hardcore music. The band, just like with any other popular bands, in turn helped in the increased demand for rock band souvenirs or apparel, including for skeleton gloves.
Escape the Fate is often categorized as a post-hardcore band. What exactly is post-hardcore music? It is actually a deviation, although not too much, from the popular hardcore music genre. However it also got a mix of other music influences such as experimental rock and punk rock. To some people, they actually find it hard to further differentiate post-hardcore from these other influences.
Formed in 2004 in Nevada, Escape the Fate had the following original members: Ronnie Radke on vocals, Omar Espinosa on rhythm guitar, Bryan Monte Money on lead guitar, Robert Ortize on drums and Max Green on bass guitar.
They also went through a couple of band member changes, perhaps only typical with any other popular rock bands. As some might have said, it was a serious of unfortunate events that tainted the band’s history but also brought forth some pleasant changes.
For example, Ronnie Radke was sentenced into prison prompting his departure from the band. He was immediately replaced by Craig Mabbitt.
The next Escape the Fate member to leave was their keyboardist at that time, Carson Allen, who left to join On The Last Day, anothe rock band.
Omar Espinosa also left the band in 2007 due to unspecified personal reasons.
To say the least, it is only a normal thing for any band to lose and gain members over a period of time. The only difference is that Escape the Fate experienced these ups and downs during the so far short existence of their band. Add to that fact that some of the band members were going through some drug addiction problems. Something they were able to solve through rehabilitation.
They currently have three albums: This War is Ours, There’s No Sympathy for the Dead, and Dying is Your Latest Fashion.
As the band members themselves claim, In the This War is Ours album, the opening track “We Won’t Back Down” signifies their hard-partying and hard rocking life as a rock band then based in Las Vegas. The album may also show a hint of the influence of the music from their favorite bands, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses.
Then a few years later, their ‘Dying is Your Latest Fashion’ album came out. That album was a feat itself for the whole band, after all they were at that time, experiencing a few personal problems. To think that they were able to produce such a good album with all that fuzz between them was truly amazing.
Today, while Escape the Fate has been continuously categorized by their fans or critics, they often prefer to be remembered as that band that plays great rock music. Good thing that is true.
