Two Parts Of A Roulette Strategy

I am going to speak today about using a roulette strategy and what the two sides are to it. It is important to understand that there are two sides to a roulette strategy because this will help you to come up with an effective playing method.

The first side is bet selection. You always need to eventually decide on what part of the table you are going to place your bets, and rather than simply guessing it is good to have a plan too. With regards to bet selection, there are lots of different mind sets that you can have.

First of all you can use the good old sleeper method. To use this method you place your bet on a part of the table that has not come up recently. So, if a dozen has not hit for a few spins you will bet on this, and if you lose you use a progressive betting system.

There is one problem with these strategies however, which is that they are regarded as a fallacy because the roulette wheel does not have a memory. I would advise you to test this out on a free roulette game first, before you play with real money.

Your bet selection could also be based on covering a large portion of the table through a combination of bets. What you need to understand though is that no system can overcome the odds that are built into the layout of the game.

The second side to a roulette strategy is the amount that you’re going to bet on each spin. Over the long term you will only lose money betting the same amount on every spin as the house edge will destroy your bank roll bit by bit.

To get around this, you could use a progressive system like the D’Alembert or Martingale for example. You will be able to win for longer time periods with these but you can also lose a lot on a big losing streak.
