Lopez actually had a second escort in the form of Nubbins, her canine co-star. Nubbins is a handicapped dog who steals the show in the movie and he did not disappoint when it came to red carpet attire. His puppy wheelchair was pink in color and adorned by flowers. The snazzy little pooch even sported a flower printed bandana.

While Nubbins stole the hearts of onlookers, Lopez dazzled them with her flashy silver one-shoulder Gianfranco Ferré dress. Her Cartier jewelry and Ferragamo peep-toe heels would have been enough to cause a reaction from the crowd, but Lopez did not stop there. She went all out, sporting a classic 1930s hairstyle that served to turn even more heads.

The movie premiere in London on April 28 was no less stylish. Lopez posed on the pink carpet in a very modern black dress straight off the runway from the Lanvin Spring Collection. The dress actually looked much better on Lopez than it did on the runway model at the Lanvin show. Lopez paired it with the same intricate necklace and accented the look with heels, again from Ferragamo, and a clutch bag by Jimmy Choo.

The always-beautiful Heidi Klum was stunning in an Emilio Sosa original. Many will recall that this dress was created during the seventh season of Klum’s Project Runway television show. Contestants on the show were tasked with creating an outfit for Klum to wear and the resulting design was then shortened to highlight the amazing legs possessed by the model/actress.

Not to be outdone, the leading man in The Back-Up Plan, Alex O’Loughlin, looked every bit the movie star in a beautiful dark suit. He finished the outfit off with a multi-colored striped tie to add a little bit of fun to the ensemble. The Back-Up Plan marks the first leading role in a major motion picture for the Australian actor.

The Back-Up Plan provides viewers with the type of romantic comedy that they have come to expect from Jennifer Lopez. Lopez plays Zoe, who gives up on love and decides to become a single mother. As soon as she attempts to become a mother on her own, enter Stan, who becomes the love of her life. Zoe finds out that she is pregnant with twins as Stan struggles with this knowledge while attempting to build a relationship with Zoe.

Stars of the Back-Up Plan, Jennifer Lopez, Alex O’Loughlin, and even Nubbins, recently turned out to support their new film. The Back-Up Plan premiere showcased high fashion of both the human and canine varieties. Mother And Child star Kerry Washington was a vision to behold in a J. Mendel print dress. Heels from Sergio Rossi and a clutch bag in gold highlighted the frock. The star’s accessories went far from unnoticed due to the large pink Amrapali ring on her hand.

Amanda Seyfried arrived at the premiere wearing a dress from the Bodyamr Fall 2010 line. The purple and grey silk number made quite a statement. Perhaps this was because Seyfried appears to have worn the dress backward. The Bodyamr fashion show illustrated that the zipper should be displayed on the back, not front, of the dress. Seyfried did not star in the movie so perhaps dressing to attend the premiere was an afterthought.

At the movie’s April 26 New York premiere, the fashion was just as eye opening. Actress Noami Watts, who stars in the film, sported a classic look. Her Stella McCartney cropped pants in black were paired with a black top containing lace accents. Heels and a clutch bag, both in black, complimented the outfit. Watts looked sleek, yet simple, and beautiful as always.

Kerry Washington jazzed it up from her Hollywood appearance, wearing a mini-dress. This black and lilac little number came from the Fall 2010 Zac Posen collection. The dress underwent some tweaks from the Posen runway show, now appearing in a sleeveless version. Black peep-toe heels and a clutch of the same color finished off the look.

Not to be outdone, the older stars of Mother And Child were just as fashionable as the youngsters. A the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Annette Bening highlighted her legs with a classic and stylish black pantsuit and sported husband Warren Beatty as her arm candy. Samuel L. Jackson looked very distinguished as usual and he brought his wife, the attractive Latanya Richardson.

The film Mother And Child shadows the lives of three very dynamic women. The first is a health care worker still struggling with the decision to give her daughter up for adoption after becoming pregnant at 14 years old. The daughter has grown up and has become a successful lawyer, but the decision made by her birth mother has affected her life as well. The third woman portrayed in this film has made the life-changing decision to adopt after discovering that she and her husband are not able to conceive a child.

The New York and Los Angeles Mother and Child Premiere exposed this touching movie to the most high profile actors in the world. It is certain that there were few dry eyes in the house. The stars did not disappoint when it came to fashion and the designs showcased left all of us holding our breaths for the next big movie premiere.
